Kamehameha claimed the 2021 BIIF Cheerleading Championship Monday night at Kealakehe High School. The Warriors bested Waiakea, Hilo and Kealakehe to claim the title, scoring a total of 312 points.

Hawaii Prep swept Honokaa in a BIIF D-II Quarterfinal contest Monday night in Waimea. Ka Makani defeated the Dragons 25-10, 25-13, 25-17 to secure a spot in the semifinals at Pahoa. Start time for Wednesday’s contest is scheduled for 5 p.m.

KEALAKEKUA – The typically pass-happy Wildcats of Konawaena turned to the ground game to steamroll the visiting Keaau Cougars in Friday night’s BIIF semifinal. Konawaena runningback Kawelu Kaiawe accounted for three of the Wildcats four rushing touchdowns on the night in a rematch of a Week 2 contest. Konawaena’s lead back was quick to spread the credit, recognizing his offensive linemen for creating space.

QB Keoki Alani threw four touchdowns on the night, and a fourth-quarter pick-six by AJ Blanco ensured there would be no Kealakehe comeback on their senior night.
