TalkStory Productions’ STORY GAME film brings legendary obake tales to life
HONOLULU – TalkStory Productions (TSP), a Hawaii-based independent production company, is excited to announce the premier of its film, STORY GAME at this year’s Hawaii International Film Festival (HIFF40), Nov. 5-29, 2020. The movie starts off at a remote campsite on Hawaii’s North Shore, transporting viewers to modern-day and old Japan, where eerie, dark tales unfold as three friends try to outwit each other with their best obake (supernatural/ghost) story.
Prince Lot Hula Festival to stream on YouTube, local TV channels
Moanalua Gardens Foundation (MGF) is proud to announce the premiere of the virtual 43rd annual Prince Lot Hula Festival , 7-9 p.m. Nov. 5 on KHON2. The two-hour program will also be live-streamed on www.khon2.com and KHON’s YouTube channel. It will be rebroadcast 7-9 p.m. Nov. 7 on KHON2, and 8-10 p.m. Nov. 8 on sister station KHII. The presenting sponsor is Hawaii Tourism.

Kahilu Theatre featuring two wa’a themed exhibits
Kahilu Theatre has announced that its next exhibit features the wa’a. It is titled “Our Water, Our Canoe, Ka Moana Kakou Student Exhibit,” running Dec.5, 2020 to Jan. 23, 2021. They ask students to reflect and respond literally to the phrase “Our Water, Our Canoe, Ka Moana Kakou” by creating a 2D or 3D representation of a wa’a (canoe) or interpreting and responding to the metaphor.
