Accident closes highway for investigation
Hawaii Police report a traffic accident around 2:40 p.m. Sunday on the Queen Kaahumanu Highway south of Kona near the airport, and have closed the highway. Passersby noted the vehicles involved were a gray Honda Pilot and a Jeep, with one reported fatality and several injured, including injuries to minor children.
