Jack Russell, 94, of Mountain View died Nov. 6 at his residence. Born April 1, 1918, in Byron, Mich., he was the proprietor of Hilo Scrap Metal and member of Slewfoot Promenadors and Lava Klinkers.
Private services were held.
He is survived by wife, Nancy Russell of Mountain View; son, Dennis (Judith) Russell of California; daughters, Carrie Russell, Mary (Edward) Tsuchiyama and Laurie (Gary) Tavares, all of Hilo, Shirley (Dwight) Shiotani of Washington; hanai son, Manuel (Deborah) Castillo of Fern Forest; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
