Sherman Wood Carlsmith, 47, of Kailua-Kona died Oct. 26 at Kona Community Hospital. Born March 25, 1965, in San Jose, Calif., he was a deacon and landscape contractor.
A private service was held.
He is survived by daughter, Kristina Carlsmith of Fayetteville, Ark.; son, Jonathan Carlsmith of Fayetteville, Ark.; father, Carl Carlsmith of Panama; sisters, Marcella Lehr of Elsah, Ill., Nelle Carlsmith of Phoenix, Annaliese Carlsmith of Petaluma, Calif., Laura Updegraff of South Korea; brothers, Wendell Carlsmith of Hilo, Eric Carlsmith of Puna; two granddaughters; numerous nieces and nephews.
