Mark Anthony Souza, 51, of Hilo, died April 9 at Hilo Medical Center. Born March 7, 1961, in Hilo, he was a music professor at the University of Hawaii at Hilo and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

He is survived by brothers, Melvin (Annie) Perreira, of Orange, Calif., Darrel Perreira, of Honolulu, Gilmore Fivella, of Hilo; sister, Terrie (Douglas) Carvalho, of Puna; nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
John Campbell
John Robert Campbell, 89, of Kailua-Kona, died March 24 at Kona Community Hospital. Born May 12, 1922, in Astoria, N.Y., he was an airplane mechanic for United Airlines and an Army Air Force veteran.
Private services were held. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of donor’s choice.
He is survived by nieces, Phyllis (Chuck) Connors, of Kailua-Kona, Chris Morningforest, of Apache Junction, Ariz., Jeanette Campbell, of Connecticut; nephew, John Fecher, of Redding, Calif.; three grandnieces; caregivers, Tata Smith and Joslyn and Cesar Rosabia, all of Kailua-Kona.
