Tante opens restaurant on Alii Drive
Tante’s Restaurant, an eating spot for local residents for more than 11 years when it was at the Frame 10 Center, has opened for business on Alii Drive.
Owner Tante Urbana has relocated his restaurant to the former Stan’s Restaurant and Kona Fish and Chips eatery site in the Kona Seaside Hotel. Completely renovated and remodeled, Tante’s Restaurant offers an expansive oceanfront view of Kailua Bay to diners.
The restaurant will be open daily; serving breakfast at 7 a.m., lunch and dinner until 9 p.m.
Shaw promoted at local credit union
Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union recently announced the promotion of Kenneth Shaw to youth services coordinator. In this newly created position, Shaw will develop and maintain the credit union’s existing student credit unions, pursue creating additional student credit unions at island of Hawaii high schools and formulate a strong youth financial literacy plan.
Shaw has worked at the credit union since April 2006 and previously served as member service specialist. Prior to moving to the island of Hawaii, he worked at two credit unions in California.
