Airlines launch code share agreement
Hawaiian Airlines and Harmony Airways jointly announced the launch of a code share agreement and interline electronic ticketing for their mutual customers, enhancing customer service and easing flight connections between Canada and Hawaii.
The new code share agreement is especially beneficial for Harmony’s Canadian customers flying to Hawaii, offering the convenience of making seamless interisland flight connections on Hawaiian to Oahu, Maui, Kauai and the Big Island.
Hawaii residents traveling to Canada, especially those living on the neighbor islands, can enjoy the same service benefits by booking their tickets through Harmony.
Code sharing allows Harmony to effectively expand its route system to Hawaii and sell seats aboard Hawaiian by attaching its two-letter booking code to Hawaiian’s flights listed in worldwide computer reservations systems.
The introduction of interline electronic ticketing allows customers to purchase a single e-ticket, check in once at their originating airport, receive boarding passes for connecting flights and pick up their luggage at the final destination.
Interline e-tickets are now being issued by Harmony and Hawaiian through their respective reservation centers, at airport and ticket offices and at travel agencies.
