Kekoa Turner scored 19 points, Shaun Kagawa added 15, Kaeo Alapai chipped in 13 and Lanaki Apele had 10 to lead unbeaten Kamehameha-Hawaii to a 68-53 home win over Waiakea on Tuesday night in a Big Island Interscholastic Federation Division I boys basketball game.
The host Warriors (6-0) led Waiakea 13-11 at the end of the first period. But Kagawa, a junior guard, and Turner, a senior forward, fueled a strong second quarter as Kamehameha outscored the visitors 21-13 and led 32-26 at the intermission.
Junior Owen Sandstrom led Waiakea (2-5) with 13 points. Sophomores Lucas St. George, Dillon Rellez and Maikai Gahan added 12, eight and seven points, respectively.
In JV action, Kamehameha beat Waiakea 41-39 in overtime.

— Pahoa 68, Keaau 53: Senior Sonny Miguel poured in 24 points to lead four scorers in double figures as the host Daggers improved to 6-1.
Freshman Tolby Saito added 14 points for Pahoa, which led by four at halftime before pushing its lead to double digits in the third quarter. Junior Nick Fisher and senior Khalil Luis both had 10 points.
Senior Cliff Eriksson led the Cougars (1-5) with 22 points, and senior Roger Carlos had 10.
In the JV game, Keaau beat Pahoa 45-39.
