Huggo’s Wahine Tournament
Celebrating 22 years, the Huggo’s Wahine Tournament is fishing for anglers and teams for its 2017 tournament set for July 29. Highly competitive wahine fish for cash prizes awarded to the teams with the largest marlin/billfish weighing more than 300 pounds. Trophies will also be awarded for the largest tuna, ono, and mahi mahi catches.
The world’s largest ladies billfish tournament is fun, entertaining, competitive and limited to 75 lady angler teams, so women are encouraged to sign up early.
“Disney Characters” is this year’s theme and Huggo’s Wahine Tournament anglers have the opportunity of winning great prizes for the best-decorated boat and best-costumed team.
Entry forms are available at Huggo’s, Sea Store Deli and the Fuel Dock at Honokohau Harbor, or on line at huggos.com/events. Interested teams, volunteers, and sponsors are encouraged to contact Tournament Director Sue Vermillion at 329-2840.
