Carol Ganot
Maj. Carol Edith Ganot, 76, of Ahualoa died Dec. 1, 2013, at her home. Born Jan. 1, 1937, in Alberta, Canada, she served 42 years as a Christian minister and missionary for The Salvation Army serving in Haiti, Jamaica, Bahamas, Trinidad and Tobago.
Friends may call at 1 p.m. Dec. 8 at New Hope Chapel Waimea for a 2 p.m. service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made toward reopening The Salvation Army Waimea. For information, call 775-7346.
She is survived by daughters, Elizabeth Ganot of Ahualoa, Violette (Keith) Brown of San Diego; brother, Cliff Ratcliff of Calgary, Alberta; sisters, Betty Risto and Helen Lyle of Calgary, Alberta; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
