Resident Steve Durst is establishing a new Chinese cultural center in Waimea to help promote better ties with China.
To ring in the Chinese New year, he will teach a free language class at Carter Professional Building Suite D21 on Feb. 11 at 10 a.m. Classes will continue the second Saturday of each month.
