Help Americans, not refugees
I have not been able to comprehend that taking in refugees is a more honorable thing to do than to help Americans who are in desperate straights.
American citizens have lived for decades with the ghettos in the most deplorable conditions imaginable. President Obama, unlike any other man in the country, would have had carte blanche to encourage all manor of companies and citizens to step in and help.
He could have watched the year of episodes of The Wire about the success a few school officials and teachers had with kids that disrupted class and kept other kids from learning. He could have stepped in with some town hall meetings and some of the millions that have been spent bringing in refugees. He could have worked to keep that precious little 7-year-old girl from being shot in Chicago.
Instead, he has participated in bringing refugees here without thought of what it does to the the citizens of the already hurting neighborhoods where they end up. What it does to the children of these neighborhoods to have non-English speaking kids put into classes where teachers are already struggling to teach their own kids who need even more help than they are able to give.
Now I am reading about the 1,800 refugees that Australia has refused to accept because they are from terrorist producing countries: Iran, Somalia, Iraq, Afghanistan and Sudan. Refugees that have been negotiated for in secret by Secretary of State John Kerry.
In order to keep the public from fear of the thousands of refugees already brought into the United States and put into communities whether they wanted them or not, the media does not print the horrendous outrages, mainly against women and children, perpetrated against the citizens of the countries in Europe who have welcomed refugees.

Gabbard’s protest not part of job
Well, here we go again. Last time it was President Obama neglecting his job, to go and campaign. Now it is Rep. Gabbard. I certainly hope she is planning on taking an unpaid leave of absence to go to the mainland to protest.
Her job description, I’m sure, does not include leaving Hawaii on a personal crusade. I can appreciate her concern, and have no problem with her lending her moral and vocal support to this cause, but I do have a problem with her doing it at the expense of the taxpayers.
Stay home, Ms. Gabbard, and do the job we pay you to do!
