Irene Betty Pacheco, 93, of Hilo died Sept. 16, 2016, at her residence. Born Oct. 2, 1922, in Laupahoehoe, she was a retired teacher’s aide at the Kaumana Drive Baptist Church Keikiland Preschool and member of Church of the Holy Cross in Hilo.
Friends may call at 10 a.m. Sept. 30 at t Church of the Holy Cross in Hilo for an 11 a.m. service. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m at Homelani Memorial Park in Hilo. Casual attire is requested. No flowers.
She is survived by daughters, Arlene Gali of Hilo and Donna (Tom) Tanimura of Honolulu; brother, Robert (Beatrice) Liborio of Aiea; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces.

Rudolph Calicdan Sr.
Rudolph “Rudy” Albert Calicdan Sr., 73, of Pahoa died Aug. 23, 2016, at home. Born Aug. 11, 1943, on Oahu, he was a laborer for the former Hawaii Sugar Plantation Association and a U.S. Navy veteran. He was also a member of the Apostles Motorcycle Club and a former member of the Alii Motorcycle Club.
Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Sept. 30 at Dodo Mortuary chapel, Hilo for a 7 p.m. celebration of life. Visitation will continue at 9 a.m. Oct. 1 at the mortuary. A celebration of life is planned at 10 a.m. and motorcycle procession with burial will follow at Alae Cemetery. Casual attire.

Violet Leilehua Nobriga, 67, of Paauilo died Sept. 14, 2016, at home. Born in Honokaa, she was a retired general store proprietress.
Friends may call at 5 p.m. Sept. 30 at the Honokaa Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for a 6 p.m. service. The family requests casual attire and that flowers be omitted, but lei are welcome.

Lot Loka Akina Jr.. 79, of Mountain View died on Aug. 25, 2016, at his residence. Born in Halawa, Molokai, he was a retired roofer and a veteran of the U.S Marine Corp Reserve.

Noritoshi Ono, 97, of Papaikou died Aug. 26, 2016, at Legacy of Hilo. Born in Papaikou, he was a retired truck driver for the former Mauna Kea Sugar Co. and a member of Papaikou Hongwanji Mission and Papaikou Senior Center.

Henry “Jingles” Louis, Jr., 72, of Keaau died Sept. 19, 2016, at his home. Born Jan. 16, 1944, in Lahaina, Maui, he was retired from the former Pioneer Mill Co. in Lahaina, Maui and a member of the Sons of Hawaii Motorcycle Club.
Services were held.
He is survived by wife, Melita Louis of Keaau; brothers, James (Janet) Louis, Anthony Louis, Bobby Louis, all of Maui; sisters, Linda (Clarence) Derasin of Pahoa, Rosie Louis of Maui; nephews and nieces.
