About 70,000 Big Island residents will be getting juror questionnaires in the mail during August.
The Hawaii Judiciary sends them out every year to “help select potential jurors who may be eligible to serve in 2017.”
Recipients have 10 days to complete and return the questionnaire to the Jury Pool Office. Those who fail to respond may be penalized.
Jurors have to be American citizens who are at least 18 and able to read and understand English.
