The West Hawaii Humane Society recently made a donation to AdvoCATS to supports its ongoing spay and neuter program in West Hawaii.
West Hawaii Humane Society President Ginger Towle and Secretary Treasurer Mary Menacho presented a check for $10,000 to Stefanie Delmont of AdvoCATS at the society’s end of year meeting.
AdvoCATS, Inc. is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the well-being of Hawaii Island’s homeless cat population. In existence since 1999, AdvoCATS has spayed or neutered close to 18,000 cats. Cats are also vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, treated with flea medication and given other medical attention as needed. AdvoCATs does not charge for its services.
West Hawaii Humane Society is committed to cooperating with other animal welfare organizations and its financial grants benefit nonprofit humane organizations that offer low or no cost spay or neuter programs or sanctuaries.
The West Hawaii Humane Society is also dedicated to supporting enforcement of all statutes and ordinances for the protection of animals, domestic and wild.
