Milagros Inocencio Borbos, 63, of Kailua-Kona died Dec. 11, 2015. Born Aug. 29, 1952, in the Philippines. she was a greeter at Walmart.

Kazuyoshi Aoki
Kazuyoshi “Kats” “Kachan” Aoki, 90, of Captain Cook died Nov. 20, 2015, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Aug. 22, 1925, in Kealakekua, he a retired captain from the Hawaii County Fire Department, real estate agent and broker for Lentz and Gold Coast Realty, coffee farmer and member of Kona Hongwanji Buddhist Temple and Akitsu Gumiai.
Friends may call at 2 p.m. Dec. 27 at Kona Hongwanji Buddhist Temple in Kealakekua for a 3 p.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by wife, Ethel Aoki; children, Bart (Martin Low) Aoki of San Francisco, Geri Ann (Glenn) Davidson of Kailua-Kona; two grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and cousins.

James Wells
James Napua Wells, 70, of Ocean View died Nov. 30, 2015, at Kona Community Hospital. Born April 30, 1945, on Oahu, he was a disabled Army veteran, former Disabled American Veterans commander, member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Kupuna Council, Ko Hawaii Pae Aina, heavy equipment operator for PCR Construction and owner of Napua’s Auto Upholstery.
Friends may call at noon Dec. 28 at the West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery in Kailua-Kona for an inurnment. Family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by wife, Y. Mikie Hanato-Wells of Honalo; sons, Schayle-Kigen Hanato-Wells and Renkio (Deja) Hanato-Wells, both of Honalo, Kitao (Kuulei) Hanato-Wells of Ocean View; daughter, Kyra Wells of mainland; sister, Lydia Escuadro of Waianae, Oahu; five grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

John Jukes
John Arthur Jukes, 84, of Kailua-Kona died Dec. 1, 2015, at his residence. Born July 15, 1931, in Nottingham, England, he was a mechanical engineer and founder of Time-Sert, owner of Time Fastener Co. and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by sons, William Jukes and Michael Jukes, both of Nevada; daughter, Jill Wagner of Kailua-Kona; sister, Jean Murphy of England; five grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Yaeko Okabayashi
Yaeko Okabayashi, 95, of Captain Cook died Nov. 16, 2015, at Kona Community Hospital. Born April 16, 1920, in Honaunau, she was a housewife and member of Wallace Kumiai and Kona Hongwanji Buddhist Temple.
Private services were held. Family requests no flowers or monetary gifts.
She is survived by daughters, Elsie Miyashiro and Ada (Wade) Terao, both of Honolulu; son, Warren (Lorraine) Okabayashi of Pepeekeo; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Jean “Jeano” Shizue Otani, 81, of Hilo died Nov. 8, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Aug. 14, 1934, in Hilo, she was a retired clerk for the state Department of Health.

Steven Timothy Fournier, 62, of Waikoloa died Nov. 19, 2015, at his home. Born April 10, 1953, in Ft. Kent, Maine, he was a retired carpenter and golfer.

Gordon DeRoos and Neva DeRoos
Gordon Dean DeRoos and Neva Mae DeRoos died at their home at Princeville.
Gordon DeRoos died Dec. 6, 2015. Born Jan. 20, 1933, in O’Brien County, Iowa, he was a retired Army lieutenant colonel and created and taught an Internet-based trading commodity course.
Neva DeRoos died Dec. 7, 2015. Born April 20, 1933, in Baker Township, Iowa, she was a homemaker, registered nurse and Kauai Hospice volunteer.
Private services will be held. Donations may be made to Kauai Hospice. Family requests no flowers.

Rosalind Marean, 97, of Kailua-Kona died Dec. 17 at her residence. Born July 23, 1918, in New York, she was a retired elementary school teacher., a substitute teacher at Hookena Elementary School and member of Kona Beth Shalom, UE Club, Daifukuji Orchid Club and Senior Fraud Squad.
Graveside burial will be at 9 a.m. Dec. 21 at Kona Memorial Park in Holualoa. Family requests casual attire be worn.
She is survived by daughters, Sherri Deponte and Sheila (Dennis) Colon, both of Kailua-Kona; hanai son, Larry (Annmarie) Larson of Granada Hills, Calif.; sister, Judith Larson of Sacramento, Calif.; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

Clyde Murakami
Clyde Kyoichi Murakami, 63, of North Las Vegas, Nev., died Sept. 13, 2015 at North Vista Hospital Inc. Born Oct. 17, 1951, in Laupahoehoe, he was an elementary and high school teacher.

Yukie Kashimoto, 95, of Hilo died Nov. 4, 2015, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born Dec. 2, 1919, in Opihikao, Puna, she was retired from the former S.H. Kress Store and member of Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin Kyodan and Hoyukai, Buddhist Women’s Association and Pomaikai Senior Center.

She is survived by sons, Ronald (Carol) Kashimoto of Honolulu, Clayton Kashimoto of Los Angeles; daughter, Aileen (Albert) Honda of Hilo; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
