Chanelle Molina poured in 26 points to go with four rebounds and two assists to lead Konawaena to a 62-48 victory and the championship game of the prestigious tournament.
Cherilyn Molina and Mikaya Tablit each collected 11 points, while Celena Molina led the team in rebounds with eight.
Konawaena used a big third quarter to pull away from the visiting Oregon squad, outscoring the Panthers 17-6 in the stanza.
Juli Tago led South Medford with 13 points, while teammate Hannah Washington tacked on a double-double (12 points, 12 rebounds).
South Medford is among the best teams in Oregon, playing in the 6A division — the highest division — and garnering the fifth spot in the state’s media poll. The Panthers will take host school Iolani in the third-place game.
Konawaena has a matchup with Bishop O’Dowd (California) for the tournament title at 8 p.m. today. The Wildcats last won the tournament in 2011.
The Dragons, out of California, beat Lahainaluna 44-42 in the opening round, and downed Iolani 63-53 on Friday to advance.

Kekai Wong Yuen, Kahala Huddleston, Hevani Haunga and Jaden Dinkel scored as the Warriors went on the road to even their record at 1-1.
Cyrene Andaya shut out the Dragons (0-1-1), and Honokaa coach Gerald Shiraki said his team didn’t muster many chances offensively.
“We were lucky it was only 4-0,” Shiraki said. “They are really good.”
