Building, design expo seeking vendors
The Kona-Kohala Chamber of Commerce presents the 11th annual Building and Design Expo Feb. 12-14 at the Sheraton Kona Resort and Spa at Keauhou Bay convention center. Last year’s expo was attended by 2,500 people and a strong turnout is anticipated this year as homeowners are making improvements to their properties.
Businesses interested in participating and who qualify with a product or service can download a vendor application at www.kona-kohala.com or contact the chamber office at info@kona-kohala.com or 329-1758. Vendor booths are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Brain injury support group meets
A brain injury support group will meet from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hawaiian Rehab Services, just mauka of the Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union on Hualalai Road.
Attorney Donna V. Payesko will speak about the legal issues surrounding the use of advance health care directives, durable power of attorneys, and special needs trusts to protect individuals with disabilities.
Payesko is a senior associate with the Law Office of Darl C. Gleed and Associates where her practice is focused on estate planning, trust administration, probate, fiduciary income taxation and elder law.
