The suspicious object that prompted a lockdown this afternoon at Waiakea High School has been “determined to be a school project,” the Hawaii County Police Department said.
The lockdown, which police reported lifted at 12:25 p.m., was prompted after a suspicious object was discovered, according to police. Police and Hawaii County Fire Department personnel were sent to the scene.
