Woody Plaut and Kirk Newman have played and performed for over a decade in Kona. They also write and sing songs together. They will present an original program from the wide array of music that is rooted in America from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Kailua-Kona Public Library.
With elements of bluegrass, folk, gospel, country and blues, they tell musical stories that are at the center of the heart and soul of our country. For selected songs, they will also be accompanied by Anne Marie Lambert, Rose Glad, and Aviva Plaut, lending variety and texture to the music.
Presented by Friends of the Libraries, Kona, this program is free to the pubic.
