There may not be a bigger fan of the Christmas movie ‘Home Alone’ than Chiefs’ Xavier Worthy

For those who believe there’s an overabundance of sports statistics, this is for you.

Opta Stats shared this Saturday: “Xavier Worthy of the Chiefs scored his eighth touchdown of the season today. That’s the most scrimmage touchdowns by a rookie on a defending NFL champion since Hugh Gallarneau of the 1941 Chicago Bears.”

That’s an obscure note, right? But it’s not a knock on Worthy, who is having an excellent rookie season. He has 51 receptions for 559 yards and five touchdowns, along with 94 yards rushing and three touchdowns.

One reason for Worthy’s success could be his dedication to the game.

While on “The Rich Eisen Show” on Halloween, Worthy was asked if he planed to go out. Worthy said he’d be staying at home rather than have a night on the town.

And he planned to watch a holiday movie that is not quite suited for Halloween: “Home Alone.”

That’s a favorite at this time of year for families that gather on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. And Worthy absolutely adores the film.

“I ain’t gonna lie. It’s not Christmas time, but I love ‘Home Alone.’ That’s my favorite movie,” Worthy told Eisen.

The follow-up question was how often Worthy has seen “Home Alone.”

“I can’t even tell you,“ Worthy answered.

Eisen then asked Worthy about his favorite part of the movie.

“Where they’re trying to break into the house,” Worthy said. “He’s on a zipline, and he cuts the zipline off and they fly into the house. Or when he pours the water on the stairs, and they fell downstairs.”
