President-elect Donald Trump wished his friends and enemies a “Happy Thanksgiving” on Thursday, specifically saving time for “radical left lunatics.”

“Happy Thanksgiving to all, including to the radical left lunatics who have worked so hard to destroy our country, but who have miserably failed, and will always fail, because their ideas and policies are so hopelessly bad,” the incoming president wrote on his own social media platform, Truth Social.

“Don’t worry, our country will soon be respected, productive, fair, and strong, and you will be, more than ever before, proud to be an American!” he continued.

Meanwhile, in his last Thanksgiving message as commander-in-chief, President Joe Biden struck a simpler and less divisive tone.

“Happy Thanksgiving, America,” he wrote on X. “May we use this moment to take time from our busy lives and focus on what matters most: Our families, our friends, our neighbors, and the fact that we’ve been blessed to live in America, the greatest country on Earth.”

The holiday week wasn’t all peaceful for some of Trump’s Cabinet nominees. On Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning, several proposed administrative leaders were hit with bomb threats and swatting calls.

Trump’s chosen EPA administrator, Lee Zeldin, nominee for commerce secretary, Howard Lutnick, and pick for United Nations ambassador, Elise Stefanik — all New Yorkers — were among those affected by the threats, none of which were legitimate.
