Kona Rotary meeting
highlights Trump irony
I’m a member of the Rotary Club of Kona.
A portion of every Rotary meeting is opened up to “Happy (or sad) Dollars.” A member donates to the “pot” and then announces what he or she is happy about.
Last week, a friend, neighbor and fellow Rotarian announced that he was happy that he lives in a country (USA) that holds free and fair elections.
My friend was born in Chile (yes … an immigrant!). In the ’70s, Chile was ruled by a brutal military dictator (Augusto Pinochet). Several of his family members were murdered for opposing Pinochet’s rule.
The : We just elected a wannabe dictator who would obliterate his detractors and eliminate free elections at the drop of a hat.

Gauging the economy
Economy recovering? Who are you kidding?
I gauge the health of the economy based on the cost per can of my favorite, SPAM.
Retail cost for a can reached $4. Four bucks a can, and you say the economy is recovering?
Using Biden’s analogy, a baseball team you support loses 20 to 1, then loses a following game 20 to 2, you would proudly say your team improved by 100%.
Get real. Go to a grocery store and see what it costs you, or get a tank of gas.
The current administration sells millions of barrels of strategic oil reserves to China, gives billions of taxpayer dollars to Ukraine, then wants to hire 87,000 new IRS agents to go after taxpayers to raise the dollars they give away.
Additionally, Alejandro Mayorkas, Biden’s Homeland Security secretary, has opened the border, letting in 10 million to 20 million illegal entries and giving them our tax dollars and transportation to whatever state they want to go. This is Bidenomics.
Biden has insured himself with Kamala Harris. Get rid of him, and we get Kamala. Democrats ran an experiment. See how they did by placing Kamala, an incompetent, flawed candidate to run against Trump?
The experiment was having an incompetent candidate and using the liberal “media” to build her up and demonize Trump.
This week, Biden authorized Ukraine to use U.S.-built long-range missiles against Russia, escalating the war and placing the U.S. at risk of World War III.
Think what could have done with the billions given away. We got a flag from Ukraine for the billions given them.
