Leche de Tigre, featuring special guest Rub Yanna Moon, will take the stage at Daylight Mind Coffee Co. in Kailua-Kona to celebrate the Fourth of July.
The free concert gets underway at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Kailua-Kona venue located off Alii Drive. It is a benefit for VASH Hawaii Island.
VASH Hawaii Island provides support and emergency services to visitors who experience adversities such as crime victimization, medical emergencies, or the death of a loved one, while staying on the Big Island.
Since the bands’ formation in 2009 in Kona, Leche De Tigre has released a studio album, “Lactophilia,” which is an abundant collection of original tunes, covers and traditional songs, before taking part in a string of theater concerts in Hawaii, including three successful tours to California and Las Vegas since 2012. The group celebrated the release of its latest extended play “El Viaje” earlier this year.
