Ronson Henry Kaulana Bento, 23, of Volcano died June 16, 2015, at Hilo Medical Center. Born June 1, 1992, in Hilo, he was a self-employed handyman.

Alice Moon
Alice Louise Moon, 59, of Hilo died June 22, 2015, at her residence. Born in Champaign, Ill., she was a community events coordinator.

Richard Benevides
Richard “Papa” Benevides, 83, of Hilo died June 20, 2015, at a private care home in Hilo. Born on July 17, 1931, in Hilo, he was a retired pressman at Hawaii Tribune-Herald, a Korean War Army veteran and member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou.
Friends may call at 8 a.m. June 30 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hilo, for a 10:30 a.m. Mass. Burial will follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by wife, Shirley Benevides of Paukaa; sons, Richard (Dawn) Benevides and Scott Benevides, both of California, Darren (Andrea) Benevides of Paukaa; brother, John (Selina) Benevides of Maryland; sisters, Mabel Damasco of Pepeekeo, Eva Santos of Honolulu; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Robert “Gene” Eugene Brock, 88, of Waikoloa died May 19, 2015, at home. Born Oct. 1, 1926, in Multnomah, Ore., he was the owner of Amboy Trucking in Amboy, Wash.

He is survived by wife, Betty Brock of Waikoloa; daughter, Sue (Phil) Germer of Covington, Wash.; son, Aaron (Faith) Brock of Waikoloa; brothers, James Brock of Amboy, Wash., Roy (Carry) Brock of Las Vegas; sisters, Georgia Jackson of Amboy, Wash., Kerry (Don) Bossie of Las Vegas; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Chie Uemura
Chie Uemura, 93, of Waipahu, Oahu, and formerly of Captain Cook died May 20, 2015, at The Queen’s Medical Center West Oahu. Born May 7, 1922, in Kealakekua, she was a retired licensed practical nurse at Kona Community Hospital and member of Central Kona Union Church and Akitsu Kumiai.
Private services were held. Family requests no monetary gifts.
She is survived by daughter, Arlene (Mario) Dekdeken of Ewa Beach, Oahu; son, Nelson Uemura of Honolulu; brothers, Takasato and Joseph Shibuya, both of Los Angeles, Aranobu Shibuya of Captain Cook, Kiyoshi (Jean) Shibuya of Oxnard, Calif.; one grandson; numerous nieces and nephews.
