Kona Mauka Rotary Club announces upcoming speaker
The Rotary Club of Kona Mauka will hear from Barbara Kossow, Kona Crime Prevention Commission, on Tuesday, July 25. Meetings are held each Tuesday at Teshima’s Restaurant from 12:00 noon – 1:00 pm. Palamanui offers trails course
Hawaii Community College – Palamanui is offering the course HWST 219 – Piko Hawaii II (CRN 15071) with Professor E. Kalani Flores. Explore Hawaiian trails and discover cultural traditions connected to noted wahi pana (noted places) in West Hawaii.
This course is scheduled for eight Saturdays (Aug 26; Sep 9, 23, 30; Oct 7; Nov 4, 11, 18) from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. Activities include moderate hiking. Students can earn three college credits or audit the class. Also, consider applying for many of the other courses being offered at Hawai‘i Community College. Apply before August 8 for the upcoming Fall semester.
