The Blue Sea Artisans Gallery featured artist for the month of February is vintage jewelry artist Cathie Ann Amelotte.
Amelotte was one of the original founding members of the Blue Sea Artisans Gallery in 2009, and has been creating her art in Kalaoa for decades. Her creative imagination incorporates vintage crystals and components with modern day gems and beads. Her process is meant to honor and bring forth the past into the present.
Meet Amelotte from 2 to 6 p.m. on Wednesdays when she works at the gallery.
On Friday, Feb. 10, the Blue Sea Artisans Gallery invites the public to its “Valentine’s Reception” from 4 to 6 p.m. at the gallery. All member artists will be present. There will be pupus and refreshments served and discounts throughout the gallery in the month of February.
The Blue Sea Artisans Gallery is located in the Keauhou Shopping Center. For more information, call the gallery at (808) 329-8000. The Gallery is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays.
