Antonina Zamora
Antonina Zamora, 87, of Hilo, died Sept. 1, 2022 at Hilo Medical Center. Born March 19, 1935 in Laoc, Manaoag, Pangasinan, Philippines, she retired from Mauna Loa Macadamina Nut as a factory worker and she also was a member of the Papaikou Filipino Catholic Club.
Friends may call on Sept. 14 at Dodo Mortuary chapel, visitation from 4 to 6 p.m.; wake service at 6 p.m. Family requests casual attire. A celebration of Mass will be held on Sept. 15 at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 9:30 a.m. burial at Homelani Memorial Park (Ilima Section).
She is survived by children, Melinda Zamora of Honolulu, Elsie Zamora of Mainland, Roland Zamora of Hilo and Almar (Cathy) Zamora of Kailua-Kona; sister, Teodora of Philippines; and four grandchildren.

Thomas de Jesus
Thomas “BOBO” Jamie Ka Malina Pi Wai O Na Makua Masao de Jesus, 33, of Kailua-Kona, died Sept. 17, 2021, at Adventist Health Castle Hospital. Born Oct. 21, 1987, in Kealakekua, he was a fish cutter and processor for Kona Cold Lobster, a fish cutter for the Poke Shop and apprentice plumber for Dorvin D. Lei’s Plumbing.
Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Sept. 17 at Maka’eo Pavilion at Old A’s in Kailua-Kona; memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. followed by lunch. The family request casual attire.
He is survived by his daughter, Kaehu de Jesus-Beaudet of Kalopa; son, Aukoa de Jesus of North Salt Lake, Utah; parents, Michael and Neddie de Jesus of Kailua-Kona; brother, T.J. (Emily) Akiona of Waimea; sisters, Chelsea de Jesus of New Roads, Louisiana, and MiChale’ (Steven Medeiros) de Jesus of Kailua-Kona; hanai parents, Randall(Francine) Aquino of Las Vegas; god parents, Thomas (Verdeen) Pahio of Honokaa and Albert (Michelle) Amaral of Kalaoa; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
