Lorenzo Bruno
Lorenzo Felipe Bruno, 93, of Fairfield, CA., and formerly of Hawi, died March 26, 2021, at his residence in Fairfield, CA. Born Jan. 10, 1928, in Laoag City, Philippines, he was a retired road maintenance man for the State Highways Division and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Kohala Kumiai.

He is survived by sons, Domy (Tessie) Bruno of Lakeland and Ben (Elma) Bruno of Kapaau; daughter, Corazon (Roxy) Tomas of Halaula, Norma (Al)Cabusas of Sacramento, Lydia (Hamlet) Hartounian of Ontario, CA, Merlyn (John) Botelho of Hawi and Zenaida (John) Penner of Kapaau; hanai daughter, Clarita Tagaca of Hawi; brother, Ernesto Bruno of Kapaau; sisters, Maria Martin of Philippines, Marcelina Domingo and Hilaria (Rogelio) Anacleto, both of Honolulu; hanai Sister, Warlita Borja of Hawi; 21 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Shizue Fujiyama
Shizue Fujiyama, 98, of Keaau, died April 5, 2021, at a care home in Hilo. Born in Keaau, she was a homemaker, and a member of Puna Hongwanji Mission.
The family requests no flowers or koden (monetary contributions).
She is survived by sons, Curtis Fujiyama and Darryl Fujiyama of Keaau; daughter, Angela Yanabu of San Jose, CA; brother, Roy (Lorraine) Nakamura of Honolulu; sister, Alice Oie of Keaau; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, and nephews.

Preston Grace
Preston Kaleihiano Grace, 45, of Captain Cook, died April 10, 2021, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Nov. 10, 1975, in Kealakekua, he was a maintenance engineer for Shrimp Improvement Systems Hawaii, and member of Word of Life Hawaii and a softball coach for Konawaena High School.

He is survived by wife, Shellie Grace; sons, Shelton (Star) Grace, Phillip Kaelan (Tania) Grace, and Calvin Grace; daughters, Shaylann Grace and Anna Grace; father, Hano Grace Jr.; brothers, Hano (Tiffany) Grace III; all of Captain Cook, and Kalani (Kaliko) Grace of Kawaihae; sister, Laressa (Jacob) Medeiros of Kealakekua; maternal grandmother, Medina Ramirez of Captain Cook; two grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Sunny Tsai
Sunny Tsai, 86, of Kailua-Kona, died April 9, 2021, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Nov. 15, 1934, in Shanghai, China, he was a retired electrical engineer for Boeing Company in Seattle.

He is survived by daughter, Margot (Paul) Purcell of Sammamish, WA; sons, Michael (Sharon) Tsai of Portland, OR, and Kenneth (Shannon) Tsai of Bellevue, WA; sisters, Dorothy (Larry) Soong of Buffalo, NY, Isabelle (Chuck) Daley of Carthage, NC, and Lily (Lewis) Sachs of Palo Alto, CA; and seven grandchildren.

Steven Pollard
Dr. Steven Willsie Pollard, 78, of Hilo, died April 8, 2021, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Fremont, NE, he was a clinical psychologist, abstract artist and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Private services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Dr. Steven Pollard to the Hemlock Society of Hawaii and/or Death With Dignity Hawaii.
He is survived by daughter, Joy (Andrew Stephens) Pollard of Hilo; sons, Michael (Kit Holz) Wagner of Tucson, AZ, and James (Jackie) D. Pollard, M.D. of Enterprise, AL; mother of his children, Jerry Pollard of Hilo; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
