Joyce Meafou
Joyce Anuenue Meafou, 71, of Keaau, died Feb. 18, 2020 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born Aug. 2, 1948, in Nanakuli, Oahu, she was an accounting clerk Kona Coffee Brewing Company in Honolulu, a collections officer for the Credit Bureau of the Pacific and owner and operator of Meafou Piggery Farm.
Friends may call 4-5 p.m. March 14 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for a 5 p.m. service. Casual attire. Cremation to follow.
She is survived by husband, Alofaitama Meafou; daughters, Joyce (Euell) Atay, Loreta (Stephen) Pittman and Katherine (Mihn) Quach; sons, Ionatana Meafou, Suapi Meafou Jr. and Siosi (Jamie) Meafou; sisters, Barbara Kaawa and Wilma Biscaino; brothers, Samuel AuHoon, Romey AuHoon, Gordon AuHoon, James AuHoon, Louis Mook, Gilbert Mook and Spencer Mook; 18 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces.

Kimiyo Marutani
Kimiyo Shiraki Marutani, 88, of Hilo died Feb. 13, 2020, at home. Born in Kona, she was a retired elementary school teacher at Waiakea Waena Elementary School, a member of the Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin, Buddhist Women’s Association, and the Waiakea Homesite Community Association.
Friends may call 10-11 a.m. March 13 at Dodo Mortuary chapel for an 11 a.m. service. Casual attire; no flowers.
She is survived by husband, Herbert Marutani of Hilo; son, Joel (Wendy) Marutani of Calif.; daughter, Mavis (Darren) Okihara of Honolulu; brother, Iwao (Adrienne) Shiraki of Honolulu; sister, Nobuko Toyama of Honolulu; four grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.

Tsuruyo Tamura
Tsuruyo “Sue” Tamura, 94, of Hilo, died Feb. 5, 2020 at Life Care Center Hilo. Born March 1, 1925, she was a retired hotel housekeeper and a member of Double 9 Golf Club and Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin.

She is survived by sons, Robert (Jerri Sumiyoshi) Tamura of Hilo, Thomas (Debby) Tamura of Montgomery Village, MD, Gerry (Sheila) Tamura of Hilo; brother, Kinji Suzuki of Honolulu; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous cousins.

Louise Teixeira
Louise Molloy Teixeira, 68, of Keaau and formerly of Newport Beach, California, died Feb. 17, 2020, at her residence. Born in Stockton, California, she was a retired director of purchasing for Coffee Bean &Tea Leaf and a member of Sure Foundation Church in Keaau.
Private services to be held in Keaau and California at a later date.
She is survived by husband, Adriano Teixeira of Keaau; son, Jonas Molloy of Keaau; numerous nieces and nephews.
