Guest director for Aloha Performing Arts Company, Dick Hershberger has selected his cast for the American classic “Bell, Book, and Candle,” John van Druten’s award-winning romantic comedy about love and witchcraft. The play runs from Dec. 5 through 21 at the Aloha Theatre. Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees are at 2:30 p.m.
The part of Gillian Holroyd will be played by Dawn Blankenship, the upstairs neighbor will be portrayed by Nick Kern and the part of Pyewacket is played by Mia Kriebl-Bruno. The role of Gillian’s brother, Nicky, is taken by John Victor Ribeiro and their befuddled Aunt Queenie is played by Catherine Williams. The eccentric author Sidney Redlitch is portrayed by Bob Haber.
Designers include Bob Gage, lighting; Gerald Lucena, set; Paula Cornwell, costumes and props; Sage Hecht, sound; Gill Pecceu, technical director; Terry Ann Fujioka, stage manager; and producers are Arlene Araki and Jeannie Kutsunai.
