Darrel Aiban
Darrel Aiban, 63, of Pahala died Nov. 9, 2014, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Aug. 16, 1951, in Pahala, he was a security guard at Ka‘u Hospital, a member of New Hope Church in Hilo and an Army veteran.
Friends may call at noon Nov. 21 at the West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery in Kailua-Kona for an inurnment. Family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by his companion, Merle Saplan of Naalehu; brother, Glenn (Ona) Aniban of Pahala; sisters, Charlene (Scott) Crutcher, Donna-Lynn (Gary) Duguran and Tessie (Melvin) DePeralta, all of Kailua-Kona; several aunts and uncles; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Kazuto “Ompo” Rudy Judalena, 73, of Pahala died Oct. 5, 2014, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Sept. 25, 1941, in Pahala, he was a retired groundskeeper for Ka‘u Hospital.
Friends may call at 8 a.m. Nov. 22 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Pahala for a 10 a.m. Mass with a mountain to ocean cruise following. Luncheon will be at noon at Punaluu Beach Park, large pavilion. Family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by daughter, Penny (David Kaplan) Judalena of Oregon; sons, Eric Judalena of San Diego, Nathan Judalena of Hilo, Joshua Judalena and Noah Judalena, both of Pahala; sister, Nancy Carpio of Maui; nine grandchildren.

Aisek Laurdin
Aisek Laurdin, 60, of Mountain View died Nov. 13, 2014, at Hilo Medical Center. Born May 20, 1954, in Pohnpei, Micronesia, he was an employee of Island Carpentry and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. Nov. 22. at the family residence, 15-1417 Kaloli St., Keaau. Online condolences may be posted at homelanimemorialpark.com.
He is survived by spouse, Merylee Laurdin of Mountain View; daughters, Herlina (Delwin) Skilling of Kailua-Kona, Lillian (Gary Lacey) Laurdin of Paradise Park, Dinna (Kun Tilfas) Laurdin and Estalyn Laurdin, both of Hilo; sons, Jessie (Brenda Kilmete) Laurdin, Moses Laurdin and Timothy Laurdin, all of Mountain View; brothers, Petrus (Anita) Laurdin, Albert Laurdin and Marino Laurdin, all of Pohnpei, Micronesia; sisters, Lorensa Laurdin, Maria Laurdin and Rinna Laurdin, all of Pohnpei, Micronesia; nine grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
