HONOLULU — The Hawaii State Teachers Association is getting a new executive director.
The union says Wilbert Holck is replacing Al Nagasako. Holck’s first day as executive director was Wednesday. Nagasako will remain with HSTA through Jan. 5, during a transition period.
Holck previously worked for HSTA for 24 years. He is returning the HSTA from the Hawaii Government Employees Association where he served as the deputy executive director of field services. Prior to working at HSTA, he was a teacher at Kaiser High School.
The union represents more than 13,500 public school teachers statewide.
