Aloysius Loeak
Aloysius Loeak, 62, of Pepeekeo died Oct. 26, 2014, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Ailinglaplap, Marshall Island, he was a Special Education teacher and member of the Marshallese Assembly of God in Pepeekeo.
Memorial service and celebration of life will be held at 5 p.m. Nov. 8 at the Marshallese Assembly of God in Pepeekeo. Family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by daughters, Felisha (Vinson) Joanes and Yaikolynn (Bernard) Jacklick, both of Pepeekeo, Charlene (Harwin) Boaz of Marshall Islands; sons, Aloysius (Loriann) Loeak Jr., Cvthbert Loeak, Jormelu Loeak and Elbi Loeak, all from Pepeekeo; mother, Akiko Loeak of Ohio; brothers, Vincent Loeak, Micheal Loeak, Loran Loeak and Faustine Loeak, all from the Marshall Islands, Phillip Loeak of California, Allen Loeak of mainland, Daniel Loeak of Pepeekeo, Emilio Loeak of Arizona; sisters, Valentina Dorning and Diane Loeak,both of Ohio; 13 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles and aunts.

Caralita Malapit
Caralita Malia “Troubles” Malapit, 55, of Oahu died Sept. 28, 2014, at a long-term care home in Waipahu, Oahu. She was born in Kaawaloa, South Kona.
Friends may call from noon to 5 p.m. Nov. 9 at the first beach pavilion at Old Kona Airport Park. Family requests no flowers or monetary gifts. Bring a favorite dish or dessert, songs, pictures and stories to share. Ashes will be spread at a later date.
She is survived by son, Abraham Malapi; hanai brothers, Mathew (Andrea) Malapit, Magdalino (Lisa) Malapit, Herman Kuanoni; brothers, Alexander, Edmund, Charles, Harry, Thomas and Roland Hose; sisters, Nancy (Kimo Alani), Lydia (Mario Lopez), Lucy and Mildred (Stephan Graham); four grandchildren; numerous aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Betty Maeda
Betty Y. Maeda, 89, of Hilo died Oct. 30, 2014, at Life Care Center of Hilo. She was born in Honolulu.
Private services will be held at later date.
She is survived by sons,. Garry (Virginia) Maeda of Hilo, Francis (Michong) Maeda and Glenn (Grace) Maeda, both of Honolulu, Kevin Maeda of Los Angeles; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
