Jacki Miye Yasuda, 66, of Pahoa, died May 29, 2019, at Hilo Medical Center. She was born in Hawaii and was a homemaker.

Clifton DeGuair
Clifton “Ana” Laiana DeGuair, 38, of Kailua Kona, died April 2, 2019, at Kona Community Hospital. Born July 15, 1980, in Kealakekua, he was a former sales representative for NAPA Auto Parts Kailua Kona.
Visitation 9 a.m. July 13 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. Service at 10 a.m. Luncheon to follow at Hawaii Big Game Fishing Club at Honokohau Boat Harbor.
He is survived by parents, Estelle DeGuair; father, Lyons (Molly O’Kief) DeGuair all of Kailua Kona; stepmother, Amanda DeGuair of Honolulu; sisters, Kainoa (Eric Miranda) DeGuair, Emma DeGuair, Lauren DeGuair all of Kailua Kona; brother, Jack Austin of New York; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, friends and two nephews.

Philander Aganus
Philander Phillip Aganus, 83, of Waimea, died June 4, 2019, at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born May 30, 1936, in Paauhau, he was a journeyman diesel and automotive mechanic for the former Paauhau/Hamakua Sugar Plantation; a retired maintenance manager for Hawaii Affordable Properties; a U.S. Army veteran; a team member of the University of Hawaii, Manoa Rainbows-1955, Honolulu Asahi and Red Sox-AJA League, Hilo Asahi, Paauhau AJA, ILWU Hamakua Bombers, Kamakela’s, Hamakua and Waimea Senior Citizen Softball teams; 69th inductee of Big Island Athletic Hall of Fame; past president of Honokaa Athletic Association; and member of the Annunciation Catholic Church in Waimea.
Friends may call on June 19 at the Annunciation Catholic Church in Waimea. Visitation 4-5:30 p.m. followed by eulogy; Mass at 6 p.m. Casual attire. An urn committal/burial will be held June 20 at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery at noon with military honors.
He is survived by wife, Jane Aiona Aganus of Waimea; daughter, Allison Tamae (Dan Cook) Aganus of Waimea; son, Phil Gaben (Desiree) Aganus of Hilo; brother, Gary (Helen) Papaaloa; sister, Charlene (Michael) Sohriakoff of Kailua-Kona; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Hilaria Panglao
Hilaria “Laring” Duldulao Panglao, 67, of Pahala, died May 15, 2019, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Jan. 31, 1952, in Magsingal, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, she was a retired certified nurse’s assistant for Ka‘u Hospital; an adult foster care home operator in Pahala; and a member of the Pahala Filipino Association and Pahala Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Friends may call June 22 at Pahala Holy Rosary Catholic Church; visitation 8:30-9:30 a.m.; Mass at 10. Casual attire and flowers are welcome. Burial at the Pahala Catholic Church Cemetery.
She is survived by husband, Sam Panglao of Pahala; daughters, Novelyn (David) Hinazumi of Kauai and Leiah (Dustin) Figueroa of Mountain View; son, Jayson (Malia) Panglao of Maui; hanai-daughter, Mary Ann (Mark) Delucia of Arizona; 13 grandchildren; sisters, Martina Soliven of Oahu, Bernarda Plete and Catalina Duldulao-Diaz of Spain; a brother in-law and two sisters in-law; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Policarpio Maltezo
Policarpio “Johnny” Martinez Maltezo, 90, of Honokaa, died June 4, 2019, at his residence. Born Jan. 26, 1929, in Lubnac, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a retired heavy equipment operator for the former Honokaa Sugar Plantation Co. and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa.
Friends may call June 22 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa; visitation 8-10 a.m.; Mass at 10. Casual attire; burial at the Honokaa County Cemetery.
