The Ironkids Keiki Dip-n-Dash was held Tuesday at Kailua Pier. Children ages 5 to 15 had an opportunity to become “Ironkids” and compete on the same course as the athletes participating in the Ironman World Championship. The age-appropriate fun, energetic swim and run for “triathletes to be” aims to help stem the rising tide of childhood obesity through exercise and healthy lifestyles. (J.R.
