Rose Medeiros
Mrs. Rose Domingo Medeiros, 84, of Keokea, died March 24, 2018, at her residence. Born on Oct. 10, 1933, in Kona, she was a teacher’s assistant at Hookena Elementary School, a wrapper at the Kona Meat Market and a member of St. Benedict’s Catholic Church.
Friends may call at 8 a.m. April 28 at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church Hall in Honauanu for a 10 a.m. Mass with burial to follow in the church’s cemetery. Luncheon and fellowship will proceed at the Honaunau Rodeo Arena. Casual attire and flowers are welcome.
She is survived by her sons, Clarence (Shirley) Medeiros, Jr., Marvin Medieros, and Jesse (Tammy) Medeiros, all of Keokea; daughters, Rosemary Lei Medeiros of Las Vegas, Clarice Medeiros of Honalo; brother, Francis (Kyung Souk) Domingo of Honolulu; sisters, Stella Grace of Kaohe, Virginia Kellipaakaua of Keei, Momi (Richard) Guigui of Oahu and Lydia (William) Mitchell of Kealakekua; two sisters-in-law; numerous grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; numerous niece, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Martha Keliiaa, 92, of Kealakekua, died March 27, 2018, at her residence. Born March 5, 1926, in North Kona, she was the owner of Martha’s Beauty Lounge and a member of Lifewater Church and Kanaueue Kumiai.
Friends may call at 9 a.m. April 28 at Central Kona Union Church/Lifewater Church in Kealakekua for a 10 a.m. celebration of life. Casual attire and flowers are welcome. Private inurnment.
She is survived by her sons, Kauhi (Emmalani) Keliiaa of Washington and Daniel Keliiaa, Jr., of Kealakekua; daughters, Danielle Thompson of Hookena and Diane (Newton) Ota of Carson City, Nev.; hanai son, Bodie (Terry) Akana of Oahu; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Diana Ewa Kahele, 70, of Hilo, died March 9, 2018 at Hilo Medical Center. Born on April 14, 1947, in Hilo, she was a former loss prevention agent for Freeman Guards Hawaii, a former line worker for Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Company and Hamakua Macadamia Nut Company.
Friends may call 6-9 p.m. April 27 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel for a 7 p.m. wake service. Friends may call again 9-10 a.m. April 28 at the mortuary for a 10 a.m. funeral service with burial to follow at Alae Cemetery. Casual attire and no flowers.

Gene Haleamau
Gene Norbert Kaimipono Haleamau, 72, of Hilo, died March 29, 2018, at home. Born on Dec. 18, 1945, in Hilo, he was a stevedore for HT&T and Matson; and a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was also a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo.
Friends may call 6-9 p.m. April 28 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel, Hilo for a 7 p.m. prayer service with cremation to follow. A graveside urn committal service will be held at noon May 1 at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire.
He is survived by, wife, Marilyn Haleamau; daughter, Tracey Haleamau; son, Brandon Haleamau; sisters, Patricia (Solomon) Haleamau and Daisy Mona Kanakamaikai; stepchildren, John (Kelli) Moniz, Kristine (Gadi) Pulgados, Jered (Joyce) Moniz and Claylyn (Patrick) Martines; one sister-in-law; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the rest of the Haleamau Ohana.

Louisa Moikeanu Maikui Labrador, 86, of Kamuela, died March 20, 2018 at her daughter’s residence. She was born in Maulua, Ookala, and prior to retirement she worked as a bus driver for Ryusaki Corp., Laupahoehoe Trans, and Roberts Hawaii, and was a member of the Ke Ola Mau Loa Church.
