The Hawaii Island HIV/AIDS Foundation hosted its 16th annual Taste of Life benefit Saturday evening at King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel. Using a masquerade theme, the event featured entertainment, dancing and a silent auction. Organization officials put the proceeds of the event toward “building a healthier, stronger and more sustainable community that supports all of its members, with a focus on HIV issues.” The organization provides outpatient mental health and substance abuse services, including individual and family sessions with a licensed clinician.
