Rodney Piedvache
Rodney Emile Piedvache, 74, of Hilo, died Dec. 19, 2017, at the Hilo Medical Center. Born on Dec. 18, 1943, in Honolulu, he was a retired electrician for Hawaiian Electric.

Elaine Mishima
Mrs. Elaine Kazuko Mishima, 98, of Hilo, died Dec. 10, 2017, at a private care home in Hilo. Born Oct. 1, 1919, in Hilo, she was retired from the former Brown Fund company in Hilo as an office clerk. She was also co-owner of the former Mishima Orchids company and member of the Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin.

She is survived by daughters, Maureen (Kenneth) Yamashita of Kailua, Oahu, Karen Hara of Hilo, Charlene (Ronald) Hirano of Pearl City, Oahu and Diane (Clyde) Nakasue of Hilo; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces.

George Tejada, Sr.
George Tejada Sr., 57, of Keaau, died Dec. 28, 2017, at Pohai Malama Hospice of Hilo. Born on April 22, 1960, in Hilo, he was a truck driver, worked for Makuu Farmers Market Association, and was a member of Sure Foundation Church.

Patricia Rockwood
Patricia “Tish” Ann Rockwood, 61, of Kamuela, died Dec. 29, 2017. Born March 18, 1956, in Parsons, Kansas, she was passionate about many things, but most of all her beloved pets and family.
