Shane “Gonzo” Kuhaupio Choy Foo Leong, 28, of Pahoa died Oct. 7, 2013. Born in Honolulu, he worked as a lead foreman for Pacific Wireless Communications.

Lani Pele Hiong Hing Wong, 89, of Hilo died Oct. 28, 2013. She was born in Pahoa.

Feliciano Agdeppa
Feliciano “Felix” Ibea Agdeppa, 57, of Honokaa died Oct. 24, 2013, at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born Feb. 17, 1956, in Paratong, Sinait, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, he was a grounds and building maintenance employee for Hale Hoola Hamakua in Honokaa, maintenance operator at Classic Resorts, Mauna Lani and Hawaii Army National Guard veteran.
Friends may call at 5 p.m. Nov. 8 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa, for a 6 p.m. rosary and eulogy and 7 p.m. wake service. Friends may call again at 8 a.m. Nov.9 at the church for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial will be at Honokaa Catholic Cemetery. Family requests casual attire be worn.

Benjamin Duyao, 85, of Hilo died Oct. 21, 2013, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born Feb. 9, 1928, in Olaa, he was a retired pruner-grafter at Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Co.

Kelby Kanani Pung, 59, of Makuu died Oct. 22, 2013, at Hilo Medical Center. Born May 5, 1954, in Laupahoehoe, he was a heavy equipment mechanic, veteran of the U.S. Navy Construction Battalion and member of the Paradise Park Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Richard M. Gouveia Jr., 52, of Holualoa died Oct. 30, 2013, at his home. Born Feb. 11, 1961, in Holualoa, he was the co-owner of Flowers for Mama; worked in accounting management at the former Royal Waikoloa Hotel, Kona Village Resort and Mauna Lani Bay Hotel and Bungalows; and was a florist, feather lei maker and custom jewelry designer.

Charles Wesley Hart Jr., 91, of Hilo died Oct. 25, 2013, at Yukio Okutsu State Veterans Home. Born in Pasadena, Calif., he was retired from C. Brewer & Co. as an agricultural engineer, a World War II Navy veteran and founding member of Christ Lutheran Church in Hilo.

Deana Jade Hose, 57, of Kealia died Oct. 27, 2013, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Aug. 18, 1956, in Kealakekua, she was a sales associate for Kmart and former housekeeper for the former Keauhou Beach Hotel and Kona by the Sea.

Vernon Kamaileokalani Kahele, 18, of Captain Cook died Oct. 27, 2013. Born Feb. 25, 1995, in Hawaii, he was a student at Milolii Hipuu Charter School.
He is survived by mother, Emma Kahele; brothers, Bruce Kahele Jr. of Honolulu, William (Parris) Kahele of Ocean View, Isaac Kahele and Tyrome Kahele, both of Captain Cook; sisters, Sierra (Jerry) Kama of Kailua-Kona, Salena Kahele and Waipiolani Kahele, both of Captain Cook; paternal grandparents, Nelson and Deena Kahele of Captain Cook; maternal grandparent, Pule Taetuna of Milolii.
