James “JJ” Kendall Kaeo McGivern Jr., 27, of Paauilo died Sept. 13, 2013, at Hale Hoola Hamakua. Born May 28, 1986, in Hilo, he was a laborer and finish carpenter apprentice.

Salvador Libarios Jr.
Salvador “Salva” Mauna Libarios Jr., 56, of Kealakekua died Sept. 24, 2013, at Kona Community Hospital. Born Jan. 30, 1957, in Kealakekua, he worked at Hawaiian Airlines, Kona Village, Yamaguchi Bus Company, Alu Like and the Salvation Army, was a youth counselor, a former baseball and football coach for Konawaena High School, and member of KHK, Da Braddahs Softball Club, St. Paul’s Catholic Church and St. Michael’s Catholic Church.
Friends may call at 10 a.m. Oct. 12 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church hall in Honalo for a celebration of life. Family requests casual attire be worn.

James G. A. Pai, 77, of Kailua, Oahu, died Sept. 14, 2013, at Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. Born Feb. 8, 1936, in Hilo, he was a retired Hawaiian Telephone Co. operation center manager and a retired captain with the Hawaii Army National Guard.
Friends may call at 5 p.m. Oct. 14 at Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary on Oahu for a 6:30 p.m. service. A committal service begins at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 15 at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl). Family requests casual attire be worn.

Fumiko Aoki, 98, of Hilo died Sept. 13, 2013, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born March 7, 1915, in Pepeekeo, she was a housewife and member of the Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin.
Private services were held. Family requests no flowers or monetary offerings.
