The Kona Historical Society will hold its fundraising gala, “Palaka Party 2013,” from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday in Kealakekua, in honor of Miki Izu, Barbara Nobriga and Jill Olson’s lifelong commitment to preserving Kona’s history. The program includes a champagne welcome, pupu dinner and cocktails, music and silent and live auctions.
