Waimea Middle School’s Local Advisory Panel will meet from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in room K-4, located immediately behind the school office. Students, families and community members are invited to attend LAP meetings. Time is allotted for public comment at the beginning of each meeting. Meeting agendas are posted at WaimeaMiddleSchool.org.
Kamana Beamer will lead Tuesday’s meeting, which will begin with a reception to thank longtime LAP Community Representative Pete Hendricks for his years of service. Megan McCorriston, executive director of Hookakoo Corporation, will then review HC’s Strategic Plan and developments resulting from revisions to Hawaii’s public charter school law and the state Department of Education’s Strive-HI Performance System.
