So far this year, there have been 678 DUI arrests compared with 762 during the same period last year, a decrease of 11 percent.
There have been 760 major accidents so far this year compared with 813 during the same period last year, a decrease of 6.5 percent.
So far this year, there were 19 traffic fatalities on Hawaii Island compared with 20 during the same period last year, a decrease of 5 percent.
