Francis Yoichi Ryusaki, 78, of Waimea died July 2, 2013, at his home. Born Sept. 12, 1934, in Honokaa, he was retired from Hawaii County Department of Water Supply, also worked for Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and Hapuna Prince Beach Hotel, an Air Force and Hawaii Air National Guard veteran and member of the Kamuela Hongwanji Mission, Japanese American Civic Association, Boy Scouts of America, Ju Shin Judo Dojo and Kamuela Hongwanji Golf Club.
Friends may call at 3 p.m. July 15 at Kamuela Hongwanji Mission for a 4 p.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers.
He is survived by wife, Thelma Ryusaki of Waimea; sons, Bryan (Heidi) Ryusaki of Portland, Ore., David Ryusaki of Honolulu; brothers, Bill (Marilyn) Ryusaki, of Los Angeles, Morris Ryusaki of Honolulu; sisters, Shimeji Kanazawa and Hideko Maruyama, both of Honolulu, Elsie (James) Yamamoto of Honokaa; two grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
