Crews on Monday began paving the road shoulders along Kuakini Highway in the vicinity’s of its intersection with Laaloa Avenue in North Kona, according to the Hawaii County Department of Public Works.
The work continues through Friday. Both lanes of Kuakini Highway will remain open to motorists during the work. Crews will be working from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Last week, the road shoulders on Alii Drive, near its intersection with Laaloa Avenue, were paved, according to the department.
