Josephine “Joping” Lorenzo, 70, of Kalapana died at home on Feb. 23, 2013. Born in Wahiawa, Oahu, she was employed at Hawaiian Pineapple for about 10 years where she was part of the “haba haba” crew. She retired in 1996 as a bus driver with the former Matson Transit Line on Oahu. She was also a member of Pahoa Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Friends may call at Pahoa Sacred Heart Catholic Church on March 23 at 8:30 a.m. for Mass at 10, followed by cremation. Scattering of her ashes will take place on March 24. Please see the family for further information. The family requests that casual attire be worn.
She is survived by brothers, Augustine “Ben” (Louise) Lorenzo of San Diego, Calif. and Domingo Lorenzo of Gooding, Idaho; Sisters, Bevencia Vivian Agbulos of San Diego, Berlina (Mike) Mindoro of Mililani, Oahu and Evelyn (Sam) Delos Reyes of Mililani, Oahu; Godson, Roland Antone of Kalihi, Oahu; Goddaughter, Yaeko “Konanui” Kim of Keaukaha; numerous hanai sons, hanai daughters, hanai grandsons and granddaughters, uncles, aunties, cousins, nieces & nephews.
