Pilagio “Blu” Bufil, 90, of Hilo died March 7 in California. Born in Honohina, he was a retired crane operator for Yamada and Sons Inc. and loved being in his garden/cookhouse, cooking, spending time with family and friends, and sanding and polishing opihi shells. Visitation 4-6 p.m. Wednesday (April 16) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service at 6 p.m. Graveside committal service 10 a.m. Thursday (April 17) at Mauna Kea Memorial Park.
