The Hawaii Tourism Authority is now acccepting 2025 requests for proposals for its community partnership programs.

These programs support projects that preserve Hawaii’s natural resources, perpetuate the state’s Hawaiian and multicultural heritage, and enrich the community through festivals and signature events statewide.

To assist prospective applicants, HTA in partnership with Kilohana by CNHA will host a series of in-person community information sessions focused on understanding HTA’s programs, potential funding levels, the application process, and providing tips on creating a strong application.

Eligible projects must be scheduled July 2025 to June 2026.

Applications must be submitted through HTA’s digital portal, ‘Umeke, at www.hawaiiancouncil.org/kilohana/ by April 1.

The Hawaii Island information sesssions are at the following locations:

— Kona, Wednesday, Feb. 19, from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the West Hawaii Civic Center, 74-5044 Keahokalole Hwy, Building G;

— Hilo, Thursday, Feb. 20, from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands Meeting Room, 160 Baker Ave.
